Kate still LOVES to read. It amazes me how she is often drawn to the "chapter" books (no pictures) and will flip through for 10 minutes, studying the letters on each page. Silly girl!

We decided to do some sparklers on July 3rd... (good thing I brought my camera out because I forgot to take pictures on July 4th).
I am holding Kate's sparkler. Once Parker had them lit, she wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with them. Not the fire, sparkle, noise, NOTHING. Poor girl!
First she ran (with her baby & blanket in tow) to the stroller. When she realized she hadn't really escaped them, she ran to Daddy who didn't have anything lit in his hand at the time.
Jackson however, LOVED everything about things on fire. His only issue was not quite understanding that once you used a firework, it was done/retired... you couldn't just re-light it and try again.

For the record, Lucy wasn't really a fan of the loud noises from the fireworks either. But she didn't make the scene that Kate did... she (Kate) was terrified!
