more happenings

We have had so much fun visiting the many parks near us lately!! Here is Lucy enjoying it too!

She has just become SO animated (and talks so loudly!! here we thought we finally got a quiet kid... nope!)

Pure joy! This is Kate about 99% of the time. I wish my outlook on life was as positive as her's. I'm working on it!

The big brother of our family... what a stud muffin!

LOVES his stroller

what a handsome boy!

This is a trick Uncle Bunj used to do when he was little so I had to take a picture when I caught Kate doing it the other.

Relaxing in bed with TWO pacifiers

This is Kate's way of relaxing to go to sleep... weird, huh? No kidding, this is how you know she's working on going to sleep... legs straight up, body tense/ flexed, ankles crossed. goofy girl!

Another day in the life of... (Lucy's 4-month check up)

Lucy Lou (sleeping, of course)

Lucy had her 4-month old check up & shots... poor little girl.
Amazingly, Lucy is growing and starting to at least be average on the growth charts, compared to bazillions of other little ones her age. Here are her stats:

Height: 25" - 78 %ile
Weight: 13lb, 8oz - 47 %ile
Head circ: 15.75" - 23 %ile

So, definitely lengthening out! This is great! Weight is about average for her age... good! Tiny head... weird. Haven't had a baby/kid with a tiny head yet... this is new. It doesn't look tiny to me. Oh, well. There's usually a first time for about everything, right?

And Katie too! (check out that hair & LOVE the chocolate chip on her face)... classic Kate!

Berries & Growing!

Our little family growing... a little each day! (Kate: 1y 10m/ Jackson: 3y 6m/ Lucy 4m)

I have to remind myself just how little they really are and treat them accordingly because they just seem to me like they're growing SO fast!

Lucy kept putting her hands in her mouth, so Jackson was helping her to "keep them down"

Always fun to find sunglasses laying around... Kate trying them on

Silly girl!

They are really Jackson's, but are on the small side now... he still looks pretty good in them!

Kate LOVES berries... any kind. Imagine the thoughts that went through my head when I came upon this scene... Kate + white shirt + RED berries... yeah, that didn't last long. She was up to the table WITH a bib lickity split and still enjoyed those delicious berries.

Kate must have been on her tippy-toes trying to even reach these at the back of the counter... she has THE LONGEST arms & fingers!

Winn Family Reunion 2010

Daddy pushing Katie on the swing @ a nearby park in Lava Hot Springs

I've said it before and will probably say it again... this girl LOVES to swing!

venturing on his own

Aubrey, Clara & Wyatt climbing the little climbing wall at the park

Jackson going through the tunnel

what a handsome guy!

He is getting so big!

more swinging...

This is what Lucy did for awhile... the rest of us played

Kate going down the slide

Cadee playing basketball with Jackson

Daddy & Kate playing soccer with Clara & Wyatt

our little tomboy (though she sure is a girly tomboy... is that possible?)

Jackson held the toy so it wouldn't turn while Kate climbed on... what a nice brother!

Kate & Daddy

Wyatt (Parker's cousin)

He didn't think I had taken any pictures of him and wanted to be sure that it was documented that he was here with us! Funny boy!

Aubrey and Cadee working on feeding and burping Lucy

Grandpa Winn (Parker's grandpa) helping the kids get their toys opened and operating properly

Lucy at the olympic swimming pool/ water slide park

She's finally starting to chunk up a bit... makes Parker & I a little more confident... like we're not going to break her.

Jackson loved this slide. He was fully equipped with a life jacket to keep him afloat and floaties to keep him upright, so I wasn't so paranoid about he & Kate being in a huge swimming area with so many people. Eventually, he figured out that we didn't need to catch him at the bottom.

So, he would swim himself to the side of the pool, climb out...

Climb up the slide's ladder, then slide down...

And plop right under the water, then bob/float back up to the surface (thanks to his many floatation devices)...

Wipe his eyes and begin again; he was in HEAVEN!!

We obviously stayed with him the whole time, but he was quite the independent little boy doing his own thing in the water! He was pretty insistent that we didn't touch him because he "could swim all by himself"!
