Klamath Falls visit & Kate's new hair

Kate is always quick to notice when Lucy has "lost" her pacifier.
Helping Lucy get her pacifier back
Sweet sister

I finally got enough courage to cut some bangs for Kate. I'm not a hairdresser... just learning as I go (my poor kids, right?). Kate held SO still while I tried to get them as even as possible. I think I did a pretty good job on "even-ness" but they're a little shorter than I had envisioned. Oh, well. They aren't horrible and hair grows. It's SO nice not having her hair in her face now.

I think she even looks a little more like me with her new do. I'll have to dig up some pictures of myself at Kate's age so you can see for yourself.
Eating cheerios for a mid-morning snack and watching the PBS channel... the kids (mostly Jackson) thought it was fun to have Sid the Science Kid, Curious George & Word World as options, instead of just their DVD collection. Although they don't watch a ton of movies anyway, it was a nice change. And I have to admit, I actually really enjoy those shows too. Especially Word World is SO creative! I wish I could buy a DVD with lots of episodes to watch with Jackson when he's ready to start putting letters and phonics together to make words. So fun!
Eager to share her cheerios with me... a good shot of her hair
From the side... still has her curls hanging on. It seems that the longer her hair grows, the more the curls are beginning to straighten.
We can't leave Jackson out. He needs a haircut soon, but I want to learn how to do a "little boy haircut" with scissors, rather than our typical electric razor cut. I am the only one who has ever cut Jackson's hair (and the only one to cut Parker's hair since we've been married). I am ready to learn how to really cut it and not just buzz it different lengths.

Lucy & Daddy

Asleep on the couch at Grandma's house... (Mommy & Grandpa stayed up until midnight talking tonight; Daddy and Lucy just couldn't stay awake any longer)

Fun @ Grandma's & Christian's baseball game!

Water fight!!! (and watering the plants)
can you say Orphan Annie?? what a rag-a-muffin!
Lucy smiling big for Grandma
Cheerleaders in the stands (although Jackson was doing his fair share standing at the fence) Grandma with Lucy, Kate with Heather (of course) @ Christian's baseball game
Grandpa with Jackson
Uncle Christian is #10. He played first base and catcher.
Making the out!
Jackson intent on being up against the fence by the "baseball guys" during the whole game
one of Uncle Christian's at bats
He hit a home run... so fun to watch him run all the way to home plate. However, in this league, if the ball rolls past the outfield cones, then it's an automatic 2-base hit. So, he had to go back to 2nd, but it was still fun knowing he DID in fact make it all the way to HOME!! Sweet hit!
Another at bat, getting ready to steal home, which he did later on
Uncle Christian in the dug out
Jackson watching Chistian on the field. Great game! They won by a long shot... so fun to watch such a great baseball player.

Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle)

We had SO much fun visiting Grandma & Grandpa Breshears AND Uncle(s) Christian, Josh, Benjamin AND Auntie Heather this weekend!
Uncle Christian sacrificed missing school on Friday to accompany us to the ZOO in Seattle. We had a blast! The weather was absolutely PERFECT zoo weather and we actually saw tons of animals!
Grandpa wasn't able to come, but sent a special request to buy the kids a treat from him--specifically a treat that "wasn't healthy". So, they chose ice cream and what a treat it was!
Can you tell Kate enjoyed her treat from Grandpa?

A bunch of monkeys just hanging around

Look how big she is getting!!

Dee-LISH-us tri tip dinner with more delicious sides!! Yum! And oh, so full!

Huh?

Jackson was walking by and I had my camera. Sometimes, he doesn't necessarily want me to take his picture or his "cheese" is a little too cheesy for me, so I create a "sneak attack". Anyway, he was walking by and I said, hey, Jackson... he turned, looked at me, said "what, Mom?" and I snapped the shot. Pretty funny! Cute boy, though... just looking a little surprised.

Trying to catch Lucy smiling (again)

more of Lucy

I know, I have been posting lots of Lucy. I guess she's the one who seems to change the most day-to-day and maybe it's also because I actually have "free hands" to grab my camera and take pictures when at least one of the "big kids" are taking a nap during the day. So far, Kate still takes one nap in the morning and one in the afternoon... simultaneously with Jackson [1] nap... sad that I'm not sure how much longer he will take this nap. I sure am productive during that afternoon time!

Adorable

Jackson is such a fun big brother. Lucy & Jackson have the most in common, as far as looks are concerned, but definitely still have their own "look". Go back & look at pictures of Jackson at this age and see what you think. The biggest difference we can see is their lips and Lucy is smaller overall.

Lucy's looks...

This is a size 1 diaper... still looks big... yeah, she's small!
